In conjuction with the 2011 Collegiate Showcase tournament in Vestavia, Alabama, the 98 Wolves Elite Boys team attended the final four games of the NCAA Men’s National Championship. Playing in the U15 Dvision, the 98 Wolves Elite defeated Tampa Bay United 3 to 0 in the opening game and lost 2 to 1 against MidSouth FC 97 on a last minute goal. The 98 Wolves advanced to the third place match and lost to MFC Fire 97 Premier. Overall, the Wolves showed extremely well against some of the strongest competition in the Southeast and were able to watch the finest collegiate soccer in the United States. In addition, members of the 98 Wolves were permitted on the field following game and celebrated with players from the University of North Carolina.
